About Lpopranch

A Little Piece Of Paradise  -  That’s life with my furry friends.  We’re the Garrisons, a family of animal “nuts”.  Our little “Ranch” is run by me, Rosemary, the nuttiest of us all!  I’ve been an animal lover ever since I can remember.  When I was 5 years old, I learned that my dad had grown up on a farm surrounded by animals:  cows, pigs, chickens, horses, cats & dogs.  Boy, was I ever ticked off at dad for leaving the farm!  From that moment on, I vowed that I’d live on a farm some day.  A mere 47 years later :), I’m living my dream! (well, sort of)  No cows.  No pigs.  No chickens.  No cats (For now).  We tried horses but I was intimidated by their size.  So, we’ve settled on sharing our 4 acre home with:  A pair of miniature donkeys (Hee Haw Hank & Sweet Biscuit), two alpacas (Simon and Oliver),  Our lovebirds (Orlando and Pippin), Our Geckos (Alfred and George), and our beloved canine buddies.  Our larger friends, of course, are content to live in the great outdoors with a huge run-in shelter and 3 acres in which to frolic. (Although, when Biscuit was a tiny girl, I had to seriously fight the urge to bring her into our kitchen on a particularly frigid winter night!) On the other hand, the rest of our furry, feathered and scaled friends allow us outnumbered humans to share the house with them.  That’s right, folks!  When I say that our dogs do not live in kennels, I’m being 100% honest.  We’ve turned 1/3 of our 2400 sq foot home into living quarters for the doggies. In addition, we use our attached two car garage for a sheltered potty area during inclement weather (such as the ice and snow storms of last winter).  When its time for a little fresh air, they have a 3200 sq. ft. fenced exercise area.  All of our adult dogs are potty trained and treated just like an “only” dog, with lots of love and attention.  All three breeds live and play together pretty harmoniously as they each entered our little canine family as a young puppy.

My dogs and other animal friends, are my full-time passion. I retired after 13 years as office manager for a veterinary practice to start my breeding program.  I’ve spent the last two years studying pedigrees and buying some of the most beautiful and sweet-natured dogs around.  I’ve spent day and night caring for and training my little sweeties.  Now, all the hard work is coming full circle with the births of our first litters!  (you can have a peek at the little ones on our “Puppies for Sale” page.)

Thanks for visiting the ranch!  We hope you enjoy your visit.
